1. General. Another frikin' hot day. I tell you, if this continues, a heat wave will come. I can't believe I'm missing rain. After yesterday's cycling, I've got muscle aches (stomach, arms and thighs) which just shows how weak I am. *sobs*

2. Magic, the Gathering. I playtested my decks with Lloyd this afternoon, and the new Esper deck is amazing! Here's my finished deck after all my modifications:

I dunno how her name is spelt, but the second version that I know has over 800 people. Sigh. I also dont know her surname so I can't narrow it down. I told myself, forget it, if I see her again, I'll have to ask her for a better means of communication. Her surname, handphone number, email address, facebook, etc etc.

1. General. Wah Lau why so HOT???!!! The weather is too damn bloody hot. I mean, I'm even sweating just relaxing on the couch! You know what's worse? My brother set the air conditioning to switch itself off in the middle of the night, so I woke up drenched in sweat. Last year during the monsoon season, when the winds were strong he didn't wanna save electricity, now when it's so darn hot he has a sudden change of heart. Pfft yeah right. The heat has probably gotten to him.

Cycling was a bore. We hung out at the Extreme Skate Park at ECP but that's it. I still can't pull myself out ofthe bowl, which leads me on to my next paragraph.

I'm FAT. And I'm WEAK. I can't even pull myself up. Pssh. The weighing scale must have some problems because it said I was 69kg. Let this sink in. 69KG. 69KG. 69KG!!! I can barely fit into one of my long pants, and when I button it up, my stomach hangs out! Yeah, I'm hanging out. Sigh..

2. Magic, the Gathering. I started work on a UB Control deck today. I just brainstormed all the cards I might need. Still deciding exactly what theme I should use. Hmm.

My judge score on Hard Practice was 50% today. I took just one test because I was lazy and sleepy. Darn heat.

3. Love and Comedy. I'm in such a bad mood, because the cute girl didn't come for the coach exam yesterday and I'm grouchy from the heat. She has a nice name. But I can't find her on facebook. Alright maybe I didn't do my best, but I was sleepy. And Monique kinda has some limitations.

1. General. Lazy day. Super hot Sia. I was sweating 5 mins after I stepped out of the house. I woke up at 11am. I was like, shit!!! I woke up so late. I had a lot of energy though.

2. Magic the Gathering. I made more improvements to the Esper deck. It ALMOST beat Brendan's MCL, but I got hit with a Lavalanche. Damn. Ah well.

3. Love and Comedy. Damn the girls didn't come. I didn't get to ask the cute one for her number. Damn. I'm gonna find her on Facebook.

4. Things I've Learnt. We had the coach test today. I think I did okay. Hopefully enough to be selected. Hafiez's MindMap was like bigger and more colourful than mine. Bong didn't ask the standard questions. I had to wing it all the way. I wanted to use the NLP skill, umm, Mind Read, but he blew me off. He said it was an airy fairy answer. Dang. Then the interview was over. Ah well.

1. General. Slack day. Hot day. Nothing else to say here.

2. Magic the Gathering. I played against Brendan again today. Made some modifications to the Polymorph Trap deck. Seems better now, at least I won one game.

I was reading magicthegathering.com and found this decklist. I'm gonna build it. Okay I made a few changes, to budget it. I mean, I have most of the cards. I'm disbanding my own Esper and Millies for this.

3. Love and Comedy + 4. Things I've Learnt. Damn funny ay coach training man. Daren an I were remeniscing about when Gary edited the... Okay I should have some background first. Right. We were learning memory techniques and one of the examples was this:

Characteristics of an Effective Thermometer.

3. Inexpensive
4. Sensetive to Temperature Changes
5. Big Range

Now, we were supposed to come up with a story to remember these 5 characteristics, using similar sound technique and 8 principles of memory. Gary (one of the trainers who was teaching this when Daren an I were participants) looked at it and started laughing. He then said: Wow, you know, this can actually be applied to a condom. We all burst into laughter at how true this was. Apart from number 1, the rest all fit! Safe to Use... Inexpensive... Sensetive... Big Range... See? Now Trina (she was training us again today (yay!)) was teaching this to us and I poked Daren. He immediately knew what I was gonna say and we both started laughing uncontrollably. Lol damn fun man.

There were 3 new people today, 2 girls and 1 guy. I mean, they didn't come for day one or two of coach training so they were quite new. One of the girls is quite cute. I'm gonna ask for her number tomorrow after the test.

1. General. I treated Kenta, Brendan and Bryan to Sake Sushi today. Buffet meal for the win!!! Troy couldn't come because he had some important stuff to do. Ah well next time then. I had to help Kenta with his Add Math questions before we went though. Damn fun sia. I missed doing math questions and I was very pleased to find out that I still can solve the Add Math circle questions correctly!!! I still screwed graphs though. Hate them to the max. I'm so glad I won't have to do graph solving in my course. Okay back to sushi. It was cheaper than I expected. I spammed the handrolls once again. Kenta bought some Japanese desert, chocolate covered ice cream, but it wasn't like normal chocolate covered ice cream. It was WONDERFUL!!! A bit on the cold side, but excellent.

2. Magic, the Gathering. I played against Brendan today. I lost the first game because I only had 2 lands. I lost the second game because I enchanted my land with Wind Zendikon and he dealt it damage, slowing me down by one land, then finished me off when I had no targets for Polymorph. 

3. Love and Comedy + 4. Things I've Learnt. I'm combining these two sections because funny things happened at the AKLTG coach training (FINALLY! Thank you, Trina!). It was FUN. We played GAMES. There was LAUGHTER. Trina was shocked that we didn't play games on Monday, and Hafiez thought Rosy just wanted to shock us into understanding how serious coaching is. Hmph. Alot of funny things happened. Bong came and called me a gundu. Lol. He was supposed to draw a picture and we were supposed to guess what it was by asking him questions, short of asking him what it was. Duh. It was to practice the way we ask questions an to use the different types (Closed, Probing, Leading, Hypthetical). I asked what it does and he called me a gundu for assuming it's an item. Lol. I didn't mind because I knew he was joking. It was fun overall. Thank you Trina for re-igniting my interest to coach! I guess I wad kinda turned off by Monday.

1. General. Spent my morning watching Hilary Duff music videos. Man she's hot.

Other than that, I didn't feel well today. Mentally and Emotionally I mean. I don't know what's wrong. Something just didn't feel right. Part of it had to do with yesterday's disturbing Coach Training session, and today's frustration with my scholarship application. But as I thought about it, and realised that there was another niggling feeling in the back of my head, but I couldn't identify the exact source. A good friend of mine SMSed me tonight to tell me about some problems and I realised that this was the source of my discomfort. Score for intuition. I don't feel better, but at least I know what's wrong. I hope tomorrow will rain heavily in the morning, so that when I get up, I can either curl up in bed and sleep some more, or curl up in bed with a good storybook.

I did finish my scholarship Draft 3 though. I was so tempted to just send the damn thing in and forget about it because I was so frustrated at recieving the same advice after I put in my best effort- focus on IT. I was like, HELL, if I get it, I get it, if I don't, well, too bad for me. My father managed to convince me otherwise. I mean, I still have that feeling, but I didn't send it in. I held it for him to look at and edit. Which he did, and I accepted all his changes. I'm gonna submit it tomorrow before I go for my Sushi Buffet thing. My turn to treat everyone (Troy, Brendan, Bryan and Kenta). 

2. Magic, the Gathering. Today's results: 42%, 58%, 25%, 50%, 42%, 50%, 25%, 50%, 33%, 67%. Keeps alternating, and my highest score ever for Hard Practice- 67%!!! I'm such a mediocre candidate, I even fail averagely. So not consistent at all.

Brendan found out that there will be a (regional?) tournament on the 6th of March. Standard Constructed!! Right up our alley, so I agreed to go with him and use my Polymorph Trap Deck.

3. Love and Comedy. Hell, nothing funny or romantic happened. I am so not in the mood.

1. General. I helped daddy with hotspoting items again today. Managed to finish all 200 items. We (daddy and me) walked out to lunch then posted my cheque into Standard Charted Bank. Will check on Wednesday or Thursday to make sure my money is in. There was coach training for AKLTG today but more on that in the Things's I've Learnt section.

2. Magic, the Gathering. After 10 tries, I have finally succeeded in passing the Hard Practice with 58%!!! Yay for me!!! Lol. The Hard Practice is harder than the actual Rules Advisor exam, sort of like Prelims before O levels. It focuses more on the order of the stack, legal targets, floor rules and game play rules. Sigh. I can only take the Rules Advisor test again on 7th March, but until then, I will keep practicing the Hard Practice til I get 80%.

3. Love and Comedy. I don't wanna talk about this today. Kinda pissed right now.

4. Things I've Learnt. Today was the first day of the second coach training I've attended. I was sorely disappointed. It was so NOT FUN.  :( There were only 5 people excluding me and the trainer (Rossana). Out of those 5 people, the 3 guys are the people I asked to come. The other 2 were a scrawny (Indian?) girl and a Malay girl who SMOKES. Is this coaching material??? Okay this is my first impression, so I may be wrong. Let's talk about Rossana. She DOES NOT SMILE. Why so stern??? Not fun at all. She said she profiled everyone already and this was like 10mins after I entered. I was like, huh? Where did that come from? So I decided to profile too. The 2 girls I mean. So far, I've got a negative impression of both. Maybe I'm egotistical, but that's my opinion. My main problem was that it was NOT FUN. And there were so little people. Tsk. However, it was overall an excellent revision. And on the bright side- Rossana mentioned Trina was coming! Yay! At least she'll be fun (I hope). The only reasons I will continue to go is because I need my coaching "liscence", Trina will train (thank you Trina) and because since I invited Troy, Hafiez and Daren to go, I feel obliged tp continue. I do wish Joelle and Priscilla came though.

1. General. What a boring day today. Nothing much happened. Slept alot, read a bit. Ate.

2. Magic, the Gathering. I practiced my MTG rules today. I took Easy Pracitce twice, passing the first with 56% and excelling at the second with 82%. I went on to Hard Practice and failed it consistently. 33%, then 42%, the 33% again then 17%. Zzz. I went ahead an took the Rule Advisor exam and passed with 56%, but that's not enough to become a rules advisor. One would need 84%. I can't take the test again til 2 weeks later, on March 7th. Ah well. I did learn alot though, especially how the stack works and how priority operates.

3. Love and Comedy. Like I said, today's a boring day. So nothing romantic or funny happened.

Whoo!!!! Bam! Oh Yeah! Unforgettable! 100% Awesome!!!! I'm not gonna do the catergory thing today because there's just too many thing to say!!!!! So I'll go in chronological order. First of all!!!! Happy Birthday!!! To me and Sara. Yep we have the same birthday- today! Lol. Anyway, I celebrated my birthday with my bro, Troy, Hafiez, Kenta and Brendan by going ice skating at Kallang Leisure Park. Well, Brendan didn't. But it was damn fun. I practiced my T stop, then taught myself a sort of spin stop. It works quite well because of the serrated toe of the blades. And because the move is gyroscopic, I can keep my balance. Awesomeness!!!!! We had a lot of fun trying not to fall. Of course, Kenta had no problems. I think I saw Alethea today at the rink. I'm not sure, but I think I recognized her jaw. I didn't go say hi though, because I was scared it wasn't her, and I'd embarress myself. I'm a loser... Ah well! We went bowling after that! The second time I bowled. Ever. It was damn fun. I picked an 8 pound ball with medium sized thumb hole. I didn't really shine til the second game, where I pulled of 2 strikes and 3 spares. I got 127 points and beat Mitch (my bro) and Troy combined. Lol. It was my second shot, and my mum called me. Bredan and Kenta were impatient, an Kenta pretended to take my shot. After I hung up, I said : "Sorry ah! My fans call me." And then wowed myself with a strike. Bam! Oh Yeah! Unforgettable! 100% Awesome!!! Epic sia... Then after that I had a Swensen's dinner with my family. My meal was totally free!!! As it was my birthday, Swensen's ahs this buy 3 get 1 free for the main course meal. Then, as the birthday boy, I get a complimentary firehouse free!!! Of course, I chose my 2 favourite flavours- cookies n cream and 2 scoops of butterscotch. Oh yeah... I love butterscotch... And it's only available at Swensen's. The closest flavour I've found is vanilla and caramel. That's good too, but butterscotch... Oh yeah... I'm gonna watch Herbie with Mitch after this. Lindsay Lohan is so damn cute when she has her hair tied back! Lol.  Oh I found out why Alethea (if it was her) didn't say hi. Her contacts weren't the right degree so she probably didn't see me properly. Ah well.

1. General. Bam! Oh yeah! Unforgettable! 100% Awesome! That's Brendan's new thing. It kinda rubbed off on me too. I guess we're both happy because today was the last day of work!! Whoo!!! Our last day of Snooker was epic. I lost this time round, 64-100+. I can't remember the exact score because I sort of gave up after he attained a 20 point lead, a result of my fouls.

1. General. Hell yeah, I'm awesome. Brendan and I played Snooker with the real rules (thanks Wikipedia) today. Now we understand how players can go up to 100+ points, when we can barely scrape 10. You don't lose points when you commit a foul, your opponents gain points. Wanna gues who's the winner? Of course! It's yours truly. 79-64. It was a very close game, and we were tied at 60 points when the black was on for the last time. Bredan made 2 fouls, and I took the lead. I got cocky and made a foul, then potted the black ball with a tyco shot. Whew, what a workout. Tomorrow is the last day of work!!! Paycheck, paycheck, paycheck...

1. General. We had a 20 minute snooker match today. I won 16-5, bringing up the match score to 5-4 to me. He said his finger hurt so it didn't count. Hah. His finger didn't stop me potting the black ball twice then pulliing of a 270 degree shot. Lol. Anyway, I went on wikipedia and checked the rules. Omg we've been playing all wrong.

2. Magic, the Gathering. I had a sudden urge to build a Counter Mill deck. I've been down this path before, and i actually made my best original deck with this. However, it still sucked so I disbanded it. I know this deck will also suck, but I built it anyway. Just to get rid of that feeling.

3. Love and Comedy. Take a knife to a gunfight. Stab everyone while they're laughing.

4. Things I've Learnt. I finally managed to look at my edited scholarship draft. Daddy put it into an email and sent it to me. Not attachment, so I can copy an paste it onto my notes. That way I can edit it without using my dad's computer.

1. General. Wow what a fun day! Damn tired when I got home from playing MTG with everyone. I took a sip from Kenta's Red Bull drink and I was very surprised to find that it was sweet! I assumed it was bitter because I thought it was some form of beer or alcohol. Apparently, it's more or less caffeine.

2. Magic, the Gathering. We had ALOT of playtesting today. My polymorph trap did pretty well. Won some, lost some, but that's life. I almost beat Mr Kng's (Androo) Eldrazi Green with Millies (pronounced Mill Eyes, not Millees), but he killed me just as I milled him out. Damn. I also had 3 cans of Sprite but I used up all the energy it gave me.

3. Love and Comdey. Wow Brendan and Bryan pulled of a very good joke today, it had us all in tears.

After Terminator got a handphone, his catchphrase was shortened: BRB.

Lol that was Epic.

4. Things I've Learnt. I played Magic til I was sick of it today. Gonna rest for the next 3 days at least. I learned that too much of a good thing IS bad.

1. General. Watched Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief today with Troy. A good story plot, but very classic. Average guy with problems, finds out he's powerful, has a best friend right to the end, falls in love, blah blah blah.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Tomorrow I will be decktesting with my group. Polymorph Trap!!!! Whoo!!!

3. Love and Comedy. Okay part four!!!

1. General. Oww I've got a headache. Feels like my brain is pressing on the back of my eyeballs, so i'll keep this post short and sweet. Relatives came to visit us and then we visited the rest. Lots of Ang pow! Lol.

2. Magic the Gathering. No updates. Tuesday is decktest day for Polymorph Trap.

3. Love and Comedy. Wait for tomorrow when I release part 4 of the criteria.

4. Things I've Learnt. Got up late today so couldn't start immediately. I did finish my testemonial for Mr Lak to sign. Now need to transfer to the computer from Monique and print it out. I plan to go to St Pats next week to do get the testamonials signed.

1. General. A good lazy day. Everyone needs one. Managed to read like half my storybook. Quite interesting, this book. It's called the Maze Runner. Confusing at first, but the plot is unconventional. I haven't finished it yet though.

A couple of mummy and daddy's friends came over for reunion dinner tonight. Mum made her soya sauce chicken again. I'm beginning to prefer white chicken more and more.

2. Magic, the Gathering. I had a fun day PWNing Mitchell's ass with my Polymorph Trap today. The Avenger's of Zendikar are awesome. Just dump a huge number of plants, the use Garruk to Overrun your opponent. The only problem is the mana. If I can get to 4 mana, I'm safe, but if I'm stuck at 3, with no Harrows, I'm gone. Jace, Halimar Depths and Explore can pull off some interesting combos. I never liked green, but now that it's combined with blue, I get to think alot, and I love it. Power, both physically and mentally. I love the synergy!!!

3. Love and Comedy. No updates, no jokes.

4. Things I've Learnt. I didn't manage to finish my testamonials or my draft... Okay okay I admit- I didn't even start. Lazy. I don't want this to turn into a habit, so tomorrow morning, right after breakfast and washing up, I will start. I'll practically have to whole morning and afternoon, as relatives will come visit instead of us going to visit them. Well, only in the evening, but I plan to be done by then. Goodnight everyone, and have yourself a Happy CNY!!!

1. General. Ah a good day today. I feel like I did a good, honest days work. Satisfied now.

We had reunion dinner at my grandma's this evening. Mummy made her delicious soya sauce chicken and a sauce/dip made from ginger, spring onion and oil. I'm not sure what it's called in English. But it's excellent, so I just spammed that and the chicken and bacon.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Okay Brendan and I finished making Polymorph Trap! It works!! The mana base is still shaky, but the combos are awesome! I'm still practicing getting used to this deck, it's a bit tough to control. And it's still not fully constructed. I can't wait to pull this off in a tournament.

3. Love and Comedy. I'm gonna release part four.... Next Monday. So that means... A joke! So... Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity. Okay that wasn't really funny, but I'm into these comparison jokes now, and like I said to Brendan: if you were smart, you'd be a plant. At that time, THAT was funny. 

4. Things I've Learnt. I will be having a day to myself tomorrow. Planning to finish up my testemonials for Mdm Soh and Mr Lak to sign, as well as my draft for the IDA IIS.

1. General. Good sleepy day today. Repaid most of my sleep debt I think. I bumped into Priscilla today at the City Hall MRT as I was coming back from the IDA IIS briefing. She's a fellow assistant coach at AKLTG.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Wow today's article on magicthegathering.com was cool. New combo for Extended! Lavaclaw Reaches + Searing Ceaseblades! Repeatedly pay 0 for Lavaclaw Reaches' Demonspine ability, and Searing Ceaseblades activated ability gets triggered, making it a infinite/4! Cast a Souls Fire or just attack for the win! That is so cool.

3. Love and Comedy. Ah well, time for Part Three of the Criteria!!!! (In NO PARTICULAR ORDER)

So, Part Three:
Okay let's talk about values.
Loyalty. This is a must. Loyalty is my number one value. If there's one thing I hate, it's a backstabber/traitor.  
Next, she must be respectable. Not a loser type or emo type or low-class type. And she has to have attended at least one of the AKLTG courses and/or is a coach. This is flexible though. I mean if a girl I like hasn't attended any of the courses, I'll intro her via coaching. So this is not a big problem to me.
Lastly, she has to be responsible. Like, she'll bother call or SMS that she's gonna be late [for a meeting], she is reliable, she can make decisions, etc etc.

4. Things I've Learnt. I went for the IDA briefing about the IIS today. Quite disappointing actually, I wasted my time there as I didn't learn anything crucial. All I took away was that there  is no limit to the number of people they can accept (yeah right) an the dates for shortlisting, interview and deed signing. Oh and a goody bag with a box of transformers. They said 2.30pm-5pm but ended up 3pm-4pm. I also went there early (too early) to make sure I was at the right place. I was, and then I saw that they were fixing up some stuff. I offered my help and the blew me off with a "oh thanks, but your not supposed to see this anyway". I'm like, what? Wouldn't a simple "no, thanks" suffice? Later, when I went to sign in, I saw that my course and handphone numbers were wrong. They immediately said to ignore the handphone number because everyone's handphone number was wrong, so I asked about the course. They said "oh it doesn't matter". EXCUSE ME! My course DOES matter to me, thank you very much. Honestly, I don't think these people were trained properly, and that the situation could have been handled more professionally. Ah well. There's no point simmering over this.

1. General. I did something different for a change this morning. I woke up late. So I decided to go with this new trend and asked my maid to fry me an egg sandwich with corned pork. Then I took a can of Root Beer and had my breakfast on the run. That was good, because I didn't need to drink my usual morning coffee and I didn't get any hunger pangs before lunch. Throughout the whole day Brendan and talked alot about Magic again (More on that later). I spent most of the day validating invoices. I was piled with invoices. Just when I thought I could finish a stack before lunch, another stack comes in. Sigh.. Between that and discussing with Brendan at lunch and breaks, the energy from the Root Beer quickly evaporated. I did manage to beat Brendan at Snooker again 15-7, bring the Match score to 4 all. Yay!

2. Magic, the Gathering. Brendan has been accepted as an organiser for MTG and D&D. Which means he gets a free box of Booster Packs as prizes! This is awesome. I'm gonna start a Crap Rare for $1 box so people can buy if they want when they come to play in the sanctioned tournaments Brendan holds.

We planned and modified our Summoning Trap deck a bit more. Now the mana base is more stable, but still unstable. I had a few strokes of genius today as well. I'll explain the whole deck idea when we complete it and finish playtesting it.

There was a good Esper Aggro deck on magicthegathering.com today. I'm looking into building it because I already have most of the pieces and it looks quite fun. I will add my own modifications.

3. Love and Comedy. I got nothing today so I'm gonna release part 2 of the Criteria (please remember this is in NO PARTICULAR ORDER).

Part 2: She's gotta be sporting. Hell yeah. Not only would I have a sports partner who understands, supports and plays the sports I play, I also like a girl to have a lithe form. Also, studies have shown that if a girl still smells nice to a guy after she sweats, they are more or less genetically compatible i.e. Most genes are different. But that's just a bonus. :D

4. Things I've Learnt. Today on the radio I heard that drinking 2 to 3 cans of Soft Drink a week increases the risk of Pancreatic Cancer. Scientist currently speculate it has to do with the body producing too much insulin, but they're not sure yet. On the bright side, people who drink fruit juice 2 to 3 times a week lower their risk. So this begs the question, can I drink a soft drink everyday followed by a cup of fruit juice? Mathematically, it makes sense as both neutralize each other, but I think we all know that Chemistry and Biology isn't as simple as that.

1. General. Yes I PWNed Brendan in Snooker today 26-8, bring up the total Match Score to 4-3. I'm still losing though. We had a great day discussing Magic, and I talked to a certain someone (not Her) and made up my mind, which I shall elaborate in the Love and Comedy Section.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Wow we had a great dicussion. Brendan has been confirmed as an organiser and he can hold Sanctioned Tournaments!!! Whoopdedoo!! Now I really have a reason to maintain the Planewalkerz blog, under the name Jace Wannabe. I dunno if I should change it to FlatJace. Naw I shouldn't. Jace Wannabe is already good enough. We discussed alot of decks and Brendan is gonna make a 2HG team deck using one deck as a landfall engine and the other one providing good offense/defense and chocked full of landfall triggers. Not gonna reveal anymore now. Brendan and I also made another deck- a variant of the Summoning Trap deck.

I failed the Easy Judge test. Only 5 out of 12 questions correct. Looks like I can't be a judge. *sob*

3. Love and Comedy. Okay I have decided to scrap this. Not more will I be focusing on Her. Hey, I'm going to Poly!!! I shouldn't be tied down to a girl who isn't even my girlfriend. Now I'm free to do what I want. I'm gonna thoroughly enjoy myself, without the intention of getting a girlfriend. If a girl likes me and says so, then sure, I'll run her through my list. As long as she's 70% there, I'll take her. Hey, 70% is still an A, and I'm probably never gonna get a perfect girl anyway, so take what you can, Give nothing back! (quoted from POTC)

4. Things I've Learnt. I recieved an email about the IDA IIS Scholarship. There's I meeting this Thursday at Suntec and I'm invited. Daddy helped me by picking out articles from the Recruit Section of the newspapers (he collects them). Quite useful, I learnt stuff like body language, preparation and to listen and answer the question directly. Let's see what happens on Thursday.

1. General. Wow I suck in Snooker. I lost 8-0 to Brendan, bring the overall match score to 4-2 to him. How to improve? Anyone got any tips? Leave them on my chatbox. Thanks!

Brendan's boss was apparently away on business today so he had no work to do. He came over to the Accounts Department where I work so he could help. We ended up discussing MTG which I will elaborate in my Magic, the Gathering section.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Whoo alot of things happened. Brendan moved up the national rank from top 400+ to top 300+ and I moved up from top 1200+ to about top 700+. Yay! Now Brendan has applied to be an organiser, which means we can have our own personal SANCTIONED tournaments and gain player points!!! I also started I team blog called Planeswalkerz. Go to planeswalkerz.blogspot.com- it's my second blog. I put up a posting there already. Check it out all you Planeswalkerz!!!

Brendan bought a Worldwake booster pack today and the lucky bastard got a Jace!!!!!!!! Fishcakes. He treated me to a Mountain Dew though. Thanks Brendan!!! I was so hyper after that I started shuffling at home and the neighbour downstairs shouted up at us to be quiet. That was kind of an Oops moment. And now I've got an unpoped, blood-filled blister. How silly of me.

3. Love and Comedy. Oh man alot of funny things happened today. During snooker, Brendan potted the cue ball so I got a free shot. I postioned it, realised it was off and tried to reposition it. Unfortunately, I kinda rolled the ball just out of my reach and had stretched further. My stomach compressed against the edge of the table and I suddenly went 'echksljshufnt'. It was quite random so Brendan and I collapsed into laughter and I couldn't hit the ball properly.

On the train home, just as we got out, Brendan just said a couple of random lines: "Can't spell 'funeral' without 'fun'! Can't spell 'manslaughter' without 'laughter'!!" Lol I would have collapsed on the train floor if not for the fact I was holding on to the handlebar. It was a sudden, out of the blue, 'huh?' kinda joke at exactly the time where I least expected it. Actually, I didn't see it coming at all.

4. Things I've Learnt. Okay I didn't do much self improvement today, other than the fact that I took on the new responsibility of managing a second blog. Yay for me!!!

1. General. Not much happened today. We had Prata in the morning for breakfast (Prata Bom for me. Yum) and it was Grandma's Birthday today! Happy Birthday Grandma!!!

2. Magic, the Gathering. Okay I upgraded both my Millies and Esper deck. Here are more or less the details.

Esper: I changed it from Esper Fog to Esper Aggro, Thopter Swarm. It's all in the name. I have 'transformers' like Thopter Foundry, producers like Sharding Sphinx, mana accelerators like Amulet of Vigor and Etherium Sculptors and annoying cards like Lodestone Golem. I can get the Golem out by turn 3, slowing Brendan's MCL down alot. I also left Scourglass, Tezzeret, Time Sieve and Open the Vaults inside. It's more or less a simple beatdown deck.

Millies: I removed Memory Erosions to put in one Jace Beleran and one Jace, the Mind Sculptor. Both have yet to come out in the games I've played against my brother. I also removed Telemin Performance for Traumatize. I figured that since they have same mana cost and both are Sorceries, I'd rather mill half my opponent's deck than steal creature. Again, both copies have yet to be played against my brother.

3. Love and Comedy. Remember what I said about giving up on Her? I just chatted on msn yesterday with a very old friend and it made me consider my decision again. I mean, my friend isn't old, we just know each other from Pre-school, Kindergarten and Enrichment Class. Or at least, I'm supposed to. Sad to say, until now I still can't draw up any memory of who she was. Ah well, new friend! By the way, I met this friend through Her and I only just found out. I'm just gonna assign her the name Lea so I don't have to keep saying friend and I don't have to use her real name. Anyway, Lea offered to help me with Her. Subtly. This is good— it could be my opening, my chance to get the ball rolling. On the other hand, I've gotta be really careful. I don't wanna ruin their friendship. That would be terrible. I must REALLY plan Every. Single. Detail. Maybe I'll tell Her the truth someday. The truth that Lea helped me. Lea is now my best hope of getting Her to be interested in me. Thank you Lea.

4. Things I've Learnt. Daddy went through some stock analysis with me today. We watched an interesting video which mentioned something new to me: the 90 Day Time Period. From what I could understand, the index would form highs and lows within certain time periods. Of course, this isn't 100% accurate- nothing is. It does prepare you for a larger possibility of what may happen though. I'm gonna find out more about this.

1. General. I just watched Final Destination 3 again for the 2nd time. I'm very upset now. I dunno why I watched it, I mean, it's not as if I LIKE to watch people die. I guess I just wanted to feel miserable. Ever felt this way? Heh, I'm weird. Anyway, it worked. Too well. I'm too upset to continue blogging so I'm gonna stop here.

1. General. Snooker by myself again. I got 5 points. Potted all the red balls and a green but touched the black and pink, so my points were erased. Man I'm getting worse at this game.

Today there was a sort of mini lucky draw. Well, more like a sure win lucky dip but I don't know who the sponsor is. I have a strong feeling it was my boss though. Kinda makes sense.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Today was the release of Worldwake and it's also Kenta's birthday! How coincidental.Yay Mr Kng has gotten our Worldwake boxes!!! Meeting up tomorrow at my condo to play sealed deck I think. I hope I get Jace again. Oh Mr Kng spelt my name with a T (as in Westly) so now I'm gonna spell his first name (Andrew) as Androo, curtesy of Brendan. Lol.

3. Love and Comedy. Lol today I was listening to the Mr Brown podcasts on YouTube. Some of the old ones like Kill Mosquito and Army Language. Damn funny.

4. Things I've Learnt. Okay had a meeting with A group member today about Technical Analysis (TA). I hafta do the Uptrend and Downtrend presentation again. Sigh. Once I start my course in TP, I'm going into News Watching and Economics, both Micro and Macro. Sounds like tough subjects but I'm interested. I will put in good effort to learn and master them.

1. General. Okay we couldn't find the Snooker balls AGAIN. Somebody keeps taking them!!! Grr it's so frustrating too because we can't complain- the balls don't belong to us, they belong to the company and any employee has the right to take them. Grr. I just wish they'd put them back in the room. I mean, we don't even see them playing at the table at lunch! If they can take it from the room to play, why can't they put them back??? Sigh.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Woots! Made a sale today! I'm so happy. I sold both my Jace, the Mind Sculptors because I can get them later at a cheaper price. Thi means I've covered myself for the Worldwake Pre-release AND profited off it.

3. Love and Comedy. Okay joke time. My bro Mitch got his iPod Nano and took a video of me while the recording mode was in X-Ray. Basically, it's just a negative, not really an X-Ray. Duh. But anyway, he called me a dumbass and I said: "like you so smart," an he said yes so I said: "Mitch, if you were smart, you'd be a plant." It's not what I said that was funny, it was how I sounded in the video that sent us both into peals of laughter. Man, that was good.

4. Things I've Learnt. Okay coach training dates have been released. 22nd, 24th, 25th and 26th of Feb, all 6pm-10pm. This is gonna be FUN!!!

1. General. Ok nothing interesting happened today other than talking to Brendan about MTG. We couldn't find the Snooker balls to play with so we just walked around and talked. The current score is 1-0 with me losing and 2 draws.

2 Magic, the Gathering. Brendan and I talked alot today. There is a Grand Prix in KL this coming March and we are VERY interested. We were discussing the best way to get there, and came up with going to FNM Constructed as many times as possible to quickly rack up player points and get a pro point. Next, we discussed decklists. Brendan was talking to one of the pro MTG players this morning on Twitter and he was shown a combo. Lotus Cobra + Ruin Ghost + Tideforce Elemental = infinite landfall triggers!!! I immediatly thought of Rampaging Baloths, Admonition Angel etc. But the best one I thought of was Hedron Crab. Insta-win!!! Brendan and I each came up with a decklist for Bant Mill based around this combo. Now I'm gonna combine the two. The biggest problem: cost. It's freaking expensive!!! BOP, Lotus Cobra, Clariant Ultimatum and fetch Lands!!! Ouch.

3. Love and Comedy. Okay today nothing funny other than Brendan and I playing Jock Impressions again, so I'll release on of my Criteria for a Girlfriend. In no particular order, just a random pick. So without further ado, here is...

Part one of the Criteria:
Okay she's got to love herself. Self-esteem is very important. If she can't love herself, how can she love me? This trait is reflected in the way she carries herself, takes care of her hygiene etc. The way she speaks is also important. I mean, as long as she's English educated or speaks naturally without the Singaporean accent and doesn't speak singlish, I'm fine with that. Of course, if she speaks singlish on purpose to make a point or tell a joke then that's fine. Duh.

4. Things I've Learnt. Okay not much learning, more self improving. I continued drafting my testemonials for my IDA Scholarship and it's coming along nicely, if I do say so myself. I also cut down my list to prioritize. Mr Lak, Mdm Soh and Adam Khoo will be my top priority to get out and I'll leave Miss Siow and Conrad as backup, in case I can't get testemonials from the first three.

1. General. I'm so proud of myself today. Not only did I stay awake for the whole journey to work, I managed to work till 9am before having my usual morning coffee. Yay! Go me! Even my working rate didn't slow down at 4.30pm. Brendan had lunch with his mum so I played snooker by myself. This time I challenged myself to score as many points as I could in half an hour. I managed to get 15 points. I could have gotten 18 but I touched the green ball by mistake. I did manage to pull of a red-black-red consecutively for 9 points.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Okay I started work on my Ally Mill deck. Gonna rename it to Millies. Not to bad. Although I'm still 16 cards short, I can tell it needs card drawing. So I'm gonna put in Sea Gate Loremaster and Treasure Hunt. I have 62 cards and a 22 land base. Will replace 1 islands and 1 plains for 2 Celestial Colonade. If I can get them.  

3. Love and Comedy. Okay as I said on my chatbox, I will reveal one criteria on my checklist of girlfriend traits each day- IF I have nothing else to say in this section. But I have an Epic Joke of the Day! Okay after work Brendan and I went down to wait by the car for his mum. She had given him the keys to unlock it so we went to clock out first. We started talking about MTG in the lift and subsequently switched to playing Jock Impressions, where each of us sniggers stupidly at what the other said. Anyway, we were hanging around the car sniggering at each other when Aunty Josephine came out. She asked why we weren't in the car. Brendan and I looked at each other, realised we had forgotten that Brendan had the keys and started sniggering again. As Brendan pulled out the key, Aunty Josephine said: "Dingbat" and that made us snigger even more! Lol that was epic.

4. Things I've Learnt. I learnt that work would be very boring if I did not have Monique and Brendan and Snooker.

1. General. Woah my energy carried over from yesterday so even though I slept at about 12.40am, I stayed awake the whole time in Aunty Josephine's car!! Yay I should open up Jace more often then got energy. I still had my usual coffee which made me hyper. I slowed down alot towards the end of work though. No more energy and I almost fell in the MRT. Fell asleep and almost lost balance. How embarassing. I lost in Snooker today against Brendan. He just managed to pot the red ball at the last minute, if not we would have drawn again.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Like I said, energy from Jace carried over.

3. Love and Comedy. I'm so not in a funny loving mood today. I've got a headache now.

4. Things I've Learnt. I didn't learn anything new today except how to validate and account for Credit Memos.

1. Oh happy day! Oh happy day! I'm so excited I keep making typo errors. Okay okay cool down... Breathe... Relax... Lepak... I'll explain why in Magic, the Gathering.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Whoo!!!!!!! There aren't enough letters in the words "euphoria", "elated", "overjoyed", "happy", and "excited" to describe my euphoric elation and this overjoyous, happy, exciting time!!!!!!!!! I went to the Worldwake Pre-release today at Suntec Convention hall. Ernst was supposed to come but he couldn't make it. So anyway I entered the tournament ($40) and we all swapped decks until I got Jace, the Mind Sculptor AND Day of Judgement!!!! I made a simple red-green aggro deck and ended up winning 2 and losing 2. Ergo, I got 6 points and won 2 Worldwake booster packs, which I saved to play Pack Wars with my bro. Anyway, I managed to trade of my rare Vampires for Wrexial and 2 copies of Jiwari Shapeshifter. Yay! On hindsight, I should have played red-black or black-blue. I'm glad i didnt though because maybe this was a blessing in disguise. In the booster packs I had won, both had MYTHIC RARES!!! How cool is that??? If i hadnt lost, i would've won 4 packs but lost the 2 Mythics. Now, why were the Mythics? An Avenger of Zendikar and a SECOND COPY OF JACE, THE MIND SCULPTOR!!! Omg this is my lucky day!!! And I still have 1 box coming in on Sunday. Holy crap!!! I'd better stop now and sleep if not by the time I do, it'll be time to wake up for work.

3. Love and Conmedy. Wow there was this cute girl on the MRT. Bob fringe, ponytail to shoulder, lithe and petite. That was cool. She fits the Appealing category of my checklist. Too bad I won't be seeing her again. Ah well.

4. Things I've Learnt. I did a presentation on Uptrends and Downtrends instead of the Crucial Conversations today. Daddy helped alot so it wasn't so bad. Yay!
