30 Mar 10

I got my hair cut!!! Yay!!! Flattop again. I feel clean and refreshed!!! Yeah. I honestly do feel better. Anyway. Not much today. Kinda boring. Just chatted alot at night. Priscilla an I decided to have picnic before FOC. So we organising. I gonna ask Troy and Yuan Yuan to come. Troy shouldn't be a problem, but Yuan Yuan is a bit reluctant. I can't understand why. Hmm. Ah well. Oh I learnt something from a storybook today. It's Latin I think:

Non illigitamus carborundum

It means:

Don't let the bastards get you down

I thought that was a good thing to remember.

29 Mar 10

I went to TP with Priscilla to hand in my Tuition Grant today. Supposed to hand in last fri but I didn't know or realize it till Priscilla told me on msn that night. Lucky still can hand in today. TP was very quiet because the student are on holiday now. Quite fun to explore TP when it's more or less empty. I got my camp dates sorted out and we had lunch at one of the TP food courts. I had a super cheap beef noodles for $2.40. I forgot to tell them no peanuts so I did my best to scoop them out but I still ended up eating a bit. When I went home I had a slight sore throat so I drank water and konked out from 12.30 to 3pm. Recovered now!! For those of you who don't know, I'm allergic to Fish, Peanuts, Papaya and Raw or Half boiled Egg. I will get rashes, sore throat then my windpipe swells shut and I suffocate. The last time this happened was when I was very young and we didn't know about my allergies. I suppose now I would only get the rashes and sore throat, but I don't wanna risk it. Anyway here is the ironic part: there's a drug called Chlorphenaramine and the liquid form is used to stop or suppress allergies. I'm allergic to that too. Sad or what? I really don't mind, because I can use my allergies to avoind tasting new foods that look suspicious. However the tablet form of the drug (used to cure sinus and rashes) I'm not allergic too. It's damn weird. I even use it when I have runny nose, or rashes or both. It also gives me a good excuse to sleep early. Oh I got the confirmation email from the TPSU today. I'm in for the Freshman Orientation Camp!!! The residential one!!! Yay!!! My friends Troy, Priscilla and Yuan Yuan are also confirmed in. Yay!!!!!

27 Mar 10

I went to AKLTG again for the booster session of IAG. Fun. But only Gary's portion. The rest not so. We (the coaches) had lunch together at this Japanese restaurant which was awesome! Regardless of your age, they give you a card so you can charge the cost of your food to it, then pay later. Quite unique. And I hafta say their egg was heavenly. If you eat it alone, you can actually taste the butter in your mouth. Oooh... And the grilled chicken!!! What can I say? They're experts.

Anyway most of the coaches went to watch Train Your Dragon 3D. I couldn't because I had MTG training. Tomorrow got tournament.

26 Mar 10

Ah I had a good day. Check out planeswalkerz.blogspot.com this Sunday.

12.28am. Okay I know it's the next day already but who cares. Had a good chat with Priscilla. Lots of laughs. And enlightenment. And Stimulation. Hahahahaha. Lol inside joke. Overall a good day.

25 Mar 10

F***. My grandmother (paternal) just fell down at around 9.30pm and her head was bleeding profusely. I don't feel like writing much. She's in CGH now, getting a scan. I wonder what will happen.

Hot Air Balloon by Owl City

We wrote a prelude
To our own fairy tale
And bought a parachute
At a church rummage sale

And with a mean sewing machine
And miles of thread
We sewed the day above L.A.
In navy and red

We wound a race track
Through your mom's kitchen chairs
And fought the shadows back
Down your dark basement stairs

I lit a match, then let it catch
To light up the room
And then you yelled as we beheld
An old maroon hot air balloon

I'll be out of my mind
And you'll be out of ideas
Pretty soon
So let's spend
The afternoon in a cold hot air balloon
Leave your jacket behind
Lean out and touch the treetops over town
I can't wait
To kiss the ground
Wherever we touch back down

La la la la la laaa
La la la la la laaa

We drank the Great Lakes
Like cold lemonade
And both got stomach aches
Sprawled out in the shade

So bored to death you held your breath
And I tried not to yawn
You made my frown turn upside down
And now my worries are gone

I'll be out of my mind
And you'll be out of ideas
Pretty soon
So let's spend
The afternoon in a cold hot air balloon
Leave your jacket behind
Lean out and touch the treetops over town
I can't wait
To kiss the ground
Wherever we touch back down

I'll be out of my mind
And you'll be out of ideas
Pretty soon
So let's spend
The afternoon in a cold hot air balloon
Leave your jacket behind
Lean out and touch the treetops over town
I can't wait
To kiss the ground
Wherever we touch back down

23 Mar 10

I've decided to change my blog format. No longer will it be done in sections. I liked the way I did the timings while coaching at AKLTG, so I think I will continue to do so as it saves time and I can reflect immediately. Then when the night comes I just post it instead of spending time (like now) typing it out. The format will also help me since I will type it out immediately, I won't forget much of what I want to say. As for Magic, the Gathering, I think I will shift the whole section to have a blog on it's own. Go to planeswalkerz.blogspot.com. This used to be the team blog but Brendan didn't like the name so I'll keep it as a personal blog for the card game. Now back to this blog. Some days I just don't feel like saying anything, or maybe I just had a boring day, so what I'll do is post lyrics of songs, or jokes, in addition to whatever little i hafta say. I don't want to lose discipline. Oh my Planeswalkerz blog will be updated weekly, since I cannot be playing the card game everyday. That would be addiction, and I don't want this to get in the way of my goal of topping the FBI (Financial Business Informatics) course in TP. Okay enough said.

22 Mar 10

1. General. I woke up at 1pm this afternoon. It was a good long sleep. Then I had lunch with my parents and I got my POSB card!!! Finally!!! I'm damn happy now. Lol.

2. Magic, the Gathering. I did alot of catching up on the magicthegathering.com articles today. But that's all. Sigh.

3. Love and Comedy. What do you call a dog with no legs? It doesn't matter what you call him, he still won't come!

21 Mar 10

Day Four of IAG Senior (18-21 March) coaching. 21 March

6.45am. I'm freakin pissed with my paternal grandmother. When I sat down at the dining table with my fried egg sandwich for breakfast, she asked me (translated from Chinese): "Why you go and fight?"

Can you say HUH???

I was like what the f***??? I've been coaching for at least 15 hours everyday, putting in my 100%, and she thinks I've been fighting??? What a way to start the day. Thanks alot, I'm now pissed. I just ignored her after that. As I wa leaving she asked me: "Where are you going?" I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel that's kind of a stupid question. I mean, I've been gone "fighting" for the past 3 days and you still ask me? I said I didn't know, an she didn't press the matter. Tonight or tomorrow if she asks me where I went, I'm gonna tell her I went fighting. See if that shuts her up. Don't give me flimsy excuses like she's old and forgetting things, that she doesn't realise what she's saying. Hello, I've been LIVING with her for the past 8-9 months. I know her. She is not insane, or stupid. She can banter with us and understand our jokes, even cracking some herself so don't give me these shit excuses. Even if I WAS fighting (which I'm not), whymust she bring it up first thing in the f***ing early morning???

Okay, that's it. Enough. I'm not gonna let her thoughtless comments ruin my day. No, what she says is a distraction, and what do you do with distractions? You ignore them or remove them. So that's what I shall do, I will ignore her for a few days, and remove her from mind.

4.23pm. Finally! A break! I'm so effing tired now. For the past 2 hours, I've been like, duh... And blur. I'm also a bit upset because one of my participants was not able to do the speed reading properly and one of my fellow coaches (I'm not gonna mention names) kept shouting at him, targeting him specifically, because my participant wasn't following the speed reading techniques. I can understand what the coach did. We as coaches are supposed to push the participants to their limits by pressurising them, shouting encouraging things like, "put in your 100%!!!", "go faster, push yourself!!!", "well done!!! Keep going!!!", "read in chunks!!! Pen pacing!!! Circle keywords and key ideas!!!", and "finished reading? Read again!!" That coach was shouting all those things, until my participant cried, becuase I think he (the participant) felt too pressured, too targeted. I didn't know how o handle that at the time, because I'm still just an assistant coach, and I didn't know the reason behind what the coach did. So I just left it, accepting the coach's experience, and trusting that what he was doing was necessary and okay. But I still felt a little angry and upset. Angry because I felt, maybe tha coach pushed too hard, and upset because I couldn't handle to situation the way I wanted it to be. I felt useless because I had no control.

20 Mar 10

Day Three of IAG Senior (18-21 March) coaching. 20th March.

8.09pm. F*** I couldn't put a post til now. I woke up late, like at 7.10am, because I just ignored my alarm clock. F***. I had to rush down without eating breakfast and I was 10mins late. Like I said, f***. We just had dinner and TTP before that. I don't think I did my TTP properly, but Keith said most of it, so it was okay I suppose. As long as the participants get the message. I don't wanna talk anymore.

1.38am. We had TTP and HTP today. Man I am so glad I'm not one of the participants. I love being a coach. In 6 hours time, the last day of this camp will arrive. I will wake up earlier an not be late like today. F*** man.

End of Day Three of IAG Senior (18-21 March)

19 Mar 10

Day Two of IAG Senior (18-21 March) coaching. 19th March.

6.02am. I'm up again. I literally had less than four hours of sleep. But I did have a leftover breakfast. I mean, leftover from dinner last night. Fried chicken pieces (now soft) in bread and a big cup of Fruit Juice. Yummy.

3.43pm. Very busy, very rushed. Couldn't put anything til now. We went outdoors to play Amazing Race. That was tiring but fun. My group couldn't do the swinging log because the log wasn't ready. Now Adam is training, framing the participants for BTW. I'm waiting for my job to begin. I'm a doorman, directing the coaches to their umm, well I can't say it here because this blog is public. So anyway, I got this job because I have not done BTW with a participant before. So I'm supposed to watch and learn as well. My muscles are aching, because I haven't exercised in a loooonnnngggg time. About the Angel/Mortal game. I put in a little something for my mortal but it hasn't been checked yet. Yep it's still there...

6.44pm. We just had BTW. I ears some extremely sad and some horrifying stories from Adam. I cried, because I couldn't imagine these events happening in my life. There was this girl (not in this camp) who watched her mother commit suicide. The father was an alcholic and abused the mother. She couldn't take it anymore and took the little girl's hand and they went up to the 8th floor where she said (in Chinese): "I'm sorry, I cannot take care of you anymore." and she jumped. That story just broke my heart, and my eyes started to well up with tears. And as I that's not enough, the father was there watching and you know what he said? "Go down and see if your mother is really dead."

WHAAAAAAAATTTTTT TTTHHHHHEEEEEE FFFFFF***************?????????

How can you say that to a little girl (younger than 12 years old I think) who just watches her mother die??????? She actually went down and had to stare at the mother, who was facedown on the ground with blood pooling around her head, until the police came to take the body away. Can you say TRAUMATIZED?????

End of Day Two of IAG Senior (18-21 March)

18 Mar 10

Day One of IAG Senior (18-21 March) coaching. 18th March

5.44am. I eating a hearty breakfast of bread and apple bacon ham, 1 piece of marble cake and a big cup if soy bean milk. I plan to go to 7 Eleven to stock up on Sprite, sweets, snacks. If there's one thing I learned from the last time I coached, it's that one must keep eating. I hafta keep eating to stay awake. And trust me, staying awake and alert is the most important thing a coach needs to do.

6.56am. I'm here, and I'm the first of the coaches!!!! Mwahahaha.. They can't fine me!!!! The PD ad APD (Program Director and Assistant Program Director) agreed to fine any coach who was late at a rate of $1 per minute. Since I'm early, they should fine me negative!!! Lol. It's the start of a good day. The 7 Eleven didn't have enuogh Sprite so I took 2 H-Two-Os and a Ricola (Lemon Mint).

9.55am. We're having a breakfast break now. Til 10.30an I think. Summary of what has happened:

We had Ra-Ra to welcome the participants, and Kenneth (our PD) introduced us coaches one by one, making fun of several. Then Adam came in an started the introduction to the camp. I said the T word so I gotta pay $10 today. Damn.

12.52pm. Sitting at the back of the room where Adam Khoo is training now. We just watched the Nick video. The guy without limbs. I forgotten how to spell his surname. Anyway, chek it out at lifewithoutlimbs.org. It's damn inspiring.

4.10pm. I just got punked my my fellow coaches. Dean came up to me and said Yu Yuan was looking for me. So I dutifully went to TR3 to look for him, and then he and Cheryl called me to the back of the room. Kenneth and Jia Yu were there as well. They had formed a semicircle of chairs with Kenneth and Yu Yuan standing and the others sitting down. I was instructed to grab a chair and sit in the centre, facing Dean, so I did. Then they explained to me, they were testing out a reflex game to play with the participants later. I should have caught it there, but I guess I was excited about a reflex game. The game was Mirror, whatever Dean did, I was supposed to mirror. So he raise his right hand and I followe with my left hand, then he raised his left hand and crossed it over his right hand. I followed. Then he raise both hands in the air and as I did, Kenneth and Yu Yuan grabed my arms, the Dean lifted my shirt while Jia Yu held my legs down and Cheryl sprayed my tummy with Dettol spray. I was like so shocked and instinctively attempted to curl up into a ball. It was funny. I suppose it's some sort of initiation thing.

1.46am. Yes. I'm not kidding. It's really the next day already. I just finished bathing and now in bed, putting out this last part. This was a very good day. I love my fellow coaches. We're like one family. It's damn fun. I also love my group. All guys, 6 of them. Keith and I are coaching them. And although I'm an assistant coach, I have more coaching experience than Keith. Hmm... He is a Math Teacher at AKLC, though. We coaches are playing Angel/Mortal. And I'm an Angel to- ah, cannot say now... It's just nice to know that I'm and angel to a female. It's cool. Gonna buy some sweets and put it inside her envelope. Oh! And I need to find that Celine Dion song I'm Your Angel. Is that te title? Nevermind i'll find out tomorrow. I mean, today.

End of Day One of IAG Senior (18-21 March)

17 Mar 10

1. General. Let me begin my tirade of fat people followed by a tantrum about slow people and lastly a tirade tantrum about fat AND slow people. I meet them everyday on the train, on the lifts, pedestrian walkways, underground tunnels. Know what these places all have got in common? They're all SMALL. which means the fat people block the WHOLE WAY. It's worse when there are several of them porkers who waddle together in a straight line. Now if they did it duck style (in a vertical line), then I wouldn't mind so much. But they do it like a moving barrier!!! I mean, of the 4 ways I can get past them (over, under around, through), I can do... Oh let's see, none!!! Now slow people I can deal with, if they can move their arses to one side. Why do slow people happen to fast people? I think there should be 2 lanes per direction per sidewalk/pathway/tunnel etc etc. One for the uber slow ones and one for the light speed people. They have that on the highway, why not for pedestrians?

Now, when there are fat AND slow people. That's like walking behind a wall with a faceful of Gluteus Maximus. Google the term if you have no idea what it means or are too dense to figure out from my sentence structure.

Oh and it's the last day of work so I'm very happy. My third paycheck ever!!!

2. Magic, the Gathering. From now til Sunday I will cut out this section because I will be coaching at AKLTG from 7am-12midnight. Everyday. I will not have time to do anything about this. So, in te mean time, check out my friend Ernst's blog:
bfg-likes-cheese.blogspot.com
He also plays Magic and I hope he will regularly update his blog.

3. Love and Comedy. I couldn't find any new funny jokes today so I found this old one.

A visitor from Holland was chatting to his American friend, jokingly explaining the colours of the Netherlands flag. He said: "Out flag symbolizes our taxes. We get red when we talk about them, white when we see them and blue after we pay them." The American replied: "Its the same for us, except we see stars too!"

From now til Sunday, my blogs will be extremely short and to the point, a summary of the day because I will be too tired to write anything else. I will do my best to write as much as possible, but it will be one big lump instead of my organized sections. I'll save time by writing whenever I can, summarising the events past for the day. You'll see what I mean tomorrow.

16 Mar 10

1. General. I found out that playing strategy turn based games and raising a zombie army/farm kills a lot of time, especially when you bring your iPod charger to work. Lol. Yeah that's what I did. The whole day.

Ms Fatimah did introduce me to Azhar, an auditor. We had lunch together with his senior, Mala, also an auditor, and I found out alot of stuff. Both of them are Indian. I learned that auditors are also financial advisors and planners. That an auditor would have to go overseas if they have an overseas client. And that an experienced auditor could have up to 10 projects running at once (Mala). It's more than I expected and I'm really glad I met them both. I now have a slightly clearer perception of what an auditor does.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Nothing happened today. I read magicthegathering.com as usual, and I picked up some interesting tips on how to decide to keep or mulligan. Like, think of what you need, not what you have. Like analysing the percentage of a card you need coming out on say, turn 3. And also how to decide how many of each land to put into a Limited deck. Quite useful.

3. Love and Comedy. Oh I read this one this morning and it was hilarious.

The Results of Statistics.

1. 10% of all car thieves are left handed.
2. All Polar Bears are left handed.
3. So if your car was stolen, there's a 10% chance it was swiped by a Polar Bear.

1. 39% of all unemployed men wear glasses.
2. 80% of all employed men wear glasses.
3. Therfore, working damages your eyesight.

1. 4000 cans are opened every second.
2. 10 babies are born every second.
3. Ergo, every time you open a can, you stand a 1 in 400 chance of getting pregnant.

15 Mar 10

1. General. The countdown has started. Number of days til work ends: 2. Then coach IAG Camp. Whoosh... I played alot of games on Monique today at work, having downloaded as many as I could the night before. Well, at least til she ran out of battery. Tomorrow I'm gonna bring the charger. My friend Ernst started a blog. It's
bfg-likes-cheese.blogspot.com
Go to it and call him Yao Ming. Annoy him!!!!

2. Magic, the Gathering. Didn't do much today. Here is a copy of WUPPO. White Blue Polymorph Prototype One.

4 Halimar Depths
2 Kabira Crossroads
4 Dread Sanctuary
5 Plains
7 Islands
2 Celestial Colonnade
24 Lands

2 Iona, Shield of Emeria
2 Creatures

4 Polymorph
4 Summoner's Bane
2 Everflowing Chalice
4 Wind Zendikon
2 Marshal's Anthem
4 Angelsong
2 Martial Coup
2 Elspeth, Knight Errant
4 Dispel
4 Path to Exile
2 Eldrazi Monument
34 Other Spells

I think it's ok for now. Need to playtest, then modify. Maybe increase creature count to fully utilize Polymorph. But I like the Martial Coup + Marshal's Anthem Combo. Imagine Iona on the field, then at 7 mana, Martial Coup for 5, then next turn, Marshal's Anthem kicked once, bringing Iona back to the field, then swing with the 5 soldiers for 10 damage. Not bad.

3. Love and Comedy. Here's a good one.

What can a goose do, a duck can't and a lawyer should?

Stick his bill up his ass.

14 Mar 10

1. General. Laaaaazzzyyyy..... Ssslllleeeeeeeeeppppyyyyy.... Zzzzzzzz....  Today damn relaxed man. No plans, no school, no work. Oh yeeeaaaahh... I didn't do much except read abit, help mummy with grocery shopping and chatted with Brendan on this new app called Messagenow. It's like free SMS and I can chat with other iPod Touches as well! Tonight I spent my time downloading apps. Games, mostly, but I found a Horoscope app so I got that too. Oh Jaynie emailed me. FINALLY! I met her on the TP4ME blog and since she is going to the same course as me, I asked her to email me. I have a friend in the same course now!! Yay!

Man this week is gonna be really tight. Monday to Wednesday work 9am-6pm (my last 3 days of work), then Thursday to Sunday 7am til past midnight, I'll be coaching this season's IAG Senior camp at AKLTG. I'm still an assistant coach because this will be only the second camp I have coached. My week is jam packed full of activities.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Boo hoo I can't play MTG this week. Brendan says his friend from RGS is gonna join us. Our first girl for the team! Lol. Apparently, she's a control player like me, insults worse than Brendan does and was Brendan's mentor and deckbuilder. First, I was honoured and pleased to find a fellow control player (the rest in the team are mostly aggro) and she's Brendan's mentor, no less. Then I was surprised that Brendan described her so strongly. I mean, an RGS girl with a dirty mouth? I find that hard to believe. Well, we'll see next next week.

I made a prototype for the Polymorph deck. Removed the Red so now it's just Blue and White. I call it Polymorph Prototype 1.

3. Love and Comedy. This is a cute joke.

I used to pray to God for a bike. But then I realized God didn't work that way. So I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness.

13 Mar 10

1. General. I woke up this morning in Underwater World. Hafiez complained that it was too cold because the air con was blowing in his face. Lol. I felt very comfortably warm. Very nice. We got to touch a fur seal and watch a dolphin show. Those were interesting. After that we went home except for Mitch and his friend- they decided to stay at Sentosa for the day. I played Magic, then went for dinner with Uncle Van and Aunty Lee Beng and other relatives to celebrate my new one month old cousin Thaddeus. He was asleep the whole time. Lol. I'm damn tired again.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Played with Brendan, Bryan, Lloyd an Ernst today. Made some money too. My tweaked Esper deck is performing better than before. The Walking Atlas + Sejiri Steppe + (maybe) Expedition Map combo works. We played 2HG and I managed to pull it off to protect Bryan's Vampire Nocturnus from being Terminated. We still lost though. Damn. Brendan and I are working on a new American Control deck. It's got Polymorph!!! Lol after the failure with Polymorph Trap, we're making this because it has better removal. And because it seems to be more consistent. I hope it works.

3. Love and Comedy. What sound does a grape make when an elephant steps on it? None, it just let's out a little wine. Lol. This was cute.

11 Mar 10

1. General. Yes!!!! Last day of work for the week!!!! I feel good, da da da da daaa! Didn't do much today. Mostly played games on Monique till she ran out of battery. Damn. Oh tomorrow I will be going to Sentosa Underwater World for a sleepover, so tomorrow will not have a posting, as there will probably be no (free) internet access. I will post it on saturday when I get back.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Nothing much today. I decided that I'm gonna print out an organized list of all my rares and uncommons along with their prices. This will allow me to not take out my file to show people, thus reducing the risk of anything being stolen, and at the same time make it more convienient for potential customers by saving them time flipping through my file.

It's 11pm, but I'm gonna finish my WB control. I mean, finish making the proxys to playtest. If it works, I'm gonna buy the cards.

3. Love and Comedy. I found this cool joke.

A lawyer defending a man accused of burglary used this creative defense: "Your honour, my client merely inserted his arm through the window to remove some trifiling items. His arm is not himself, and I fail to see how you can punish the whole individual for an offense commuted by his limb." The Judge replied: "Well put. Using your logic, I sentence the defendant's arm to one year's imprisonment. He can accompany his arm or not, as he chooses." The accused smiled and, with the help of his lawyer, removed his artificial limb, set it on the table and walked out.

This was an intresting joke because it was orginal, not a classic, and appealed to the manipulative side of me.

10 Mar 10

1. General. Wah lau bad day today...
I got up late again (7.40am) because I ate ice cream last night and couldn't sleep, and the rain this morning didn't help either. I eventually ate fried egg for breakfast but my lip still hurt so I was slow. The root problem? I had lost control. No discipline. I wasn't supposed to eat ice cream or egg to cut my weight. To make things worse, my iPod shuffle ran out of juice, my handphone had low batt and eventually died, all the while giving problems.
This day couldn't get any worse.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Oh yes it could. Brendan just started work at Wizards Of The Coast (WOTC), the company who made MTG. I am so JEALOUS. He sent me this SMS:

Day 1 at wizards:
Brought file, traded in for scalding tarns.
Brought deck.
Played against 'experimental' decks
Did 10 mins worth of work.
Looked at concept art for ROE
Said booya 12 times.
-end entry- :p

I copied this word for word.

3. Love and Comedy. Oh this day just got better. What a perfect way to end a bad day. I'm serious, not sarcastic. We had team bonding for the coaches at AKLTG today. Alot of funny things happened. We were playing double whacko, then I became the whacker. Chuan Ley and Zhen Yu were beside each other, and the people behind them kept calling out the other's names. I got frustrated and just started whacking both of them. Everyone cracked up. Too many funny things I forget already. I was too busy laughing. I ended up with a sore throat and a stomach muscle ache.

9 Mar 10

1. General. Oh man did I get up on the wrong side of bed today. I thought it was gonna be a bad day. My lip hurt (because I bit it a few days ago), I got up 20 mins late (although I was still on time), didn't have a good breakfast (just 2 Timtam biscuits), the handle on my favourite sling bag broke as I picked it up, and my pants pocket had a hole. See what I mean? But then I got an SMS from a friend of mine, who finally made the decision to switch from JC to TP and I was damn happy. I was like yaaaaaay yaaayayayayyayayay! Lol. Anyway, I felt better after that. Amazing what a small bit of good news can do to your energy levels, huh?

2. Magic, the Gathering. I made a white-black control deck today, based of Crypt of Agadeem and the Blood Tribute + Sanguine Bond Combo. I put the combo as singletons, because I could tutor them out with Liliana's tutor ability. I put 3 of her inside. I also equipped my deck with lots of removal and 2 Abyssal Persecutors, my backup plan. However, I'm not using any Vampires. I'm using Tainted Sigil. Hopefully it will be as fast and annoying as Sligh.

3. Love and Comedy. Oh I just realised I haven't done my Criteris for a while. I found out the reason for that. I lost my list. I must have accidentally deleted it from my Notes. Damn. Ah well.

8 Mar 10

1. General. There are just too many slow people in the world. You know what I think? All the slow people should keep to one side, then let the faster people (yours truly) move on another lane. Some people just walk in a horizontal row and block the whole pathway. Assholes.

I finished my storybook (Gone) today at work. I'm waiting for next book (Hunger) which will come out 5th April.

Yes! I have backdoor out of MGI Menon & Associates! I can leave in 2 weeks if a job concerning numbers is not found by Friday. I'm gonna take that offer.

2. Magic, the Gathering. I finally remember the last deck I was up against last Saturday. White-Blue allies. It was horrible.

I'm starting work on a White-Black Crypt Control deck. Based on Blood Tribute + Sanguine Bond Combo. And adding Abysal Persecutor too. White will be nothing but removal. So Journey to nowhere, Path to Exile, etc etc.

3. Love and Comedy. 2 weevils were starting out their lives at the same time. By the time they died, one of them had achieved fame and fortune, successful at everything he did. The other, unfortunately, was the exact opposite, poor, ugly and hungry. He was known as the lesser of the 2 weevils.

7 Mar 10

1. General. Finally! A breather. Relaxing day. Very well appreciated after the last few hectic days. I'm so not looking forward to work tomorrow because I'm almost finishing my storybook. Shouldn't have read so much today.

2. Magic, the Gathering. I retook my rules advisor exam again. Failed. Again. 68%, not enough to pass (84%). Damn. Ah well, at least I learned stuff and improved my score from a previous 56%. Gotta take it next next Sunday. Sigh. I tweaked my decklist, can't wait to test it out this sat.

3. Love and Comedy. Oh I like this one.

"I'm not saying the bank service is bad, but when I asked the clerk to check my balance, she leaned over and pushed me!"

6 Mar 10

1. General. Okay I spent almost the whole day at Beauty World Centre playing Magic. So more on that later. I went for my X-Ray before and the guy was quite funny. The moment I walked in, he said to remove my shirt, so I did. Then while he was writing stuff, I sat down on the chair and he almost immediately said: "Eh, why you sitting down? Stand over here!" He said it in a gruff voice so it took the edge off his words. Well, how was I supposed to know? This is only my what, second or third X-Ray. Ever.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Oh man where to start? So many things to say. I went for Worldwake Gameday today, I lost 4 out of 5 games, so basically I just paid $12 for a full art Hada Freeblade, which was the entrance card. Ah well, at least I learned stuff. Jund is the most popular deck type in the world right now, and I didn't even get to fight a single Jund deck! Not fair. I fought 2 mono black control, a  rogue Bant deck (which I won), a Red Deck Wins and one more deck I forgot. Totally. And it was my very first game. Lol. My esper deck didn't work well, but I found it wonderful and I know how to tweak it now. I'm now inspired to make a new deck. Gonna call it Protectionists. Every creature will have protection from something or shroud, and every spell I play will be counters, anthems or gives my creatures protection/shroud.

3. Love ad Comedy.

"Whats the opposite of right?"
"Left."
"Wrong."

5 Mar 10

Okay I have time today so I'll tell you what happened on Wesnesday, Thursday and Today.

1. General.
Wednesday- Day one of new job. Working at MGI Menon and Associates  as a secretarty assistant. Well, sort of. I hafta do alot of filing. Initially, I was supposed to do accounting, learning about Quickbook and so on, but they won't have any orders til May or June. I guess I should have declined working there, as the job is not my cup of tea, to put it civilly. Hindsight is always 20/20.

I watched Wolfman with Lloyd and his friends. It was scary. But damn fun. I was out of breath by the end of the show.

Thursday- Okay work day again. Daddy says to use NLP to turn my disadvantages into advantages. I didn't do that. I played the role of victim and martyr, "bravely" forging through work and loneliness. I did finish my chick flick trilogy (Sorority 101) which was good. I like a good chick flick, especially one like Princess Diaries. Lol.

Daddy and I went to this seminar called Power Trading Workshop by Online Trading Acedemy. It was good- free dinner and 2 sets of 2 CDs each (also free!!!). Lol. But the talk was good. American. Funny. But I couldn't understand some of what he said, probably due to me not reading the Newspapers.

Today- Okay I managed to get through work a bit happier this time, because I had my storybook (title: Gone) which I read during lunch and when nobody was walking around. XD. I got through one hour at a time. I am beginning to fall into a routine though. My only major concern now is the temperature. It's way too cold inside and way too hot outside. You know where the best place where the teperature is just right? Inside the lift. Lol.

I had my medical checkup today. It's required for TP students to make sure they are fit for their course of choice, like making sure you're not colour blind and stuff. They made me pee in a cup. At least I didn't have to worry about aiming. Lol. Toilet humour.

2. Magic, the Gathering. (I'm just gonna compress all 3 days) Okay I'm barely keeping up with the daily articles on magicthegathering.com because I don't have Internet access at work. I'm going for tomorrow's Game Day tourment at Bukit Timah. More on that tomorrow. I decided I'm gonna use my esper deck, although I have no idea what to name this deck. Over these few days, the outcomes have been very positive. I mean, sure I lost to David, but I'm constantly tweaking the deck here and there. I'm definitely gonna go all out for tomorrow. This is possibly the best deck I ever built. Correction- the best ORIGINAL deck I ever built. Sure I got the base off the Internet, but this is called standing on the shoulders of Giants. I modified like half the deck anyway, so it's now more or less original. At the very least, it's a rouge esper deck.

3. Love and Comedy. I got no time for romance. I have a couple of funny police quotes though.

"If you try to run, you'll only go to jail tired."

"So you don't know how fast you were going? I guess that means I can write whatever I want on this ticket huh?"

Lol. Hope you had a good laugh over those.

4 Mar 10

It's 12 am the next day. I have been out of home for the last 16 and a half hours. I'm too tired to blog. My feet ache from the silly shoes I'm wearing, my middle finger hurts just below the nail, my body itches, my body aches, pimples grow on my forehead and in my nose, my ear itches, my ear hurts, I'm emotionally messed up, my nose runs, my feet smell, I'm drained of energy and I can't drink Sprite because I'm fat.

Oh yes, the loser in me has won.

Don't worry, I'll give a better review of Thursday, Friday and Saturday on Saturdat night. It's been hectic. Hope you people are having more fun than I have. Enjoy it while you can— it won't last.

3 Mar 10

Something is wrong. I'm not the person I thought I was. Something just doesn't feel right. I can't blog today, but I will leave this one lesson: never commit to anything, unless you leave yourself a back door, or you absolutely KNOW what your getting into.

Never commit. You might be disappointed.

Goodnight.

2 Mar 10

1. General. I am damn tired so I'm just gonna get this post over with. Tomorrow I'll be starting work at MGI Menon, then going for a movie (Wolfman) with Lloyd and his friends. I spent the majority of my day with Brendan. We went to Raffles Place MRT so I could refresh my memory on where MGI Menon was. We also needed to get some cards from Raffles Place, which is actually near City Hall. We decided to walk and got lost a bit, until Brendan recognized Suntec Convetion Hall, and we found our way to Raffles Place. And whaddaya know, the card shop is closed. Grr. We were thirsty so we went to 7 Eleven and bought slurpy. I got Apple but it was all watery and not cold. I wasn't thinking at that time because my feet hurt, but I should have rejected the slurpy. I'm such an idiot.

2. Magic, the Gathering. Then Brendan and I made our way to Katong, because we decided that Bishan was just a little too far. When we got there, around 2pm, the sign said: out for lunch. So we decided to hang around and play Magic til 3pm. Figured they wouldn't take so long for lunch. But when 3pm rolled around, the bloody shop didn't open. I'm never going back there again, even if I know its open. Brendan then remembered that there might be a shop at Siglap Center, so we walked there to save money (eh, public transport not cheap for us non students) but when we got there, we found out that it was gone. Hiyo. So in the end I couldn't finish my Esper deck. Damn. Oh and guess what? We walked back to Bedok Central from Siglap. Know what's worse? I stepped on the weighing scale just now after dinner, and found that instead of losing weight, I gained 500g since last Saturday. I feel awful.

3. Love and Comedy. Today was hilarious with Brendan. We kept outdoing and outsmarting each other, constantly making witty jokes here and there. We had a great long talk about Magic, getting lost and Magic. Super fun.

1 Mar 10

1. General. First day of March! Time passes so fast. Seems only yesterday when I started my blog. I'm actually amazed at myself for having so much discipline to blog every night. (Chey...) lol.
Wow today was a good day. Tomorrow will be a busy day. I have finally come to terms with the heat, I have accepted it. Yeah sweating profusely is much better than freezing my ass off. Oh man a lot on my mind. Starting new job soon at MGI Menon, an auditing company. MTG tournament this sat. Medical checkup this fri evening. Busy busy busy.

2. Magic, the Gathering. I totally owned Bryan's Vampires today!!! Hah, in your face, Edward Cullen! (his surname IS Cullen right?) Esper Control ROCKS!!! I am awesome!!! Lol. Okay tourney this sat, so tomorrow gonna fix up the deck at Simei, Raffels and/or Bishan, worst case.

3. Love and Comedy. Hilarious! My brother was annoying my grandmother today. He came out of the kitchen and she asked (in Chinese), "what are you doing?" Mitch just started walking around her in circles, and she couldn't keep turning her head. He kept changing direction, alternating orbit speed and stopping behind her. Eventually, he stopped completely and she was confused as to where he was. She turned (slowly) and Mitch had no trouble keeping behind her. Then he started orbiting again. Lol that was hilarious.

Man I've got alot to say, but it's already 12 midnight and I hafta get up early (7.30am) tomorrow. *yawn* goodnight.
